About Our Training
Our barre instructor training is designed to take you from the ground up—whether you’re brand new to teaching or already guiding movement in some way.
If you feel called to lead, to create, and to make a positive impact in people’s lives, this program will meet you there.

This is an in-studio, hands-on experience where you’ll learn how to teach barre in a way that is thoughtful, dynamic, and deeply engaging. We don’t just focus on the workout—we focus on the experience you create in the room.

The training is intentionally spread out over 5 days to give you time to integrate what you’re learning, practice, ask questions, and build confidence as you step into your role as an instructor.

You’ll be supported every step of the way by lead trainers Jen Muffett and Abbey Weston, along with a team of guest instructors who will guide you through specific areas of the training. Together, we bring over 20 years of combined teaching experience into this space.

Throughout the program, we’ll explore everything from the anatomical foundations of barre, alignment, and functional movement… to language, cueing, and building a class that flows with intention and purpose.

We’ll also dive into the creative side—like crafting a playlist that hits, building sequences that feel both effective and accessible, and developing a teaching style that is uniquely yours.

You’ll be encouraged to think both critically and creatively as you learn how to lead classes that are inclusive, adaptable, and safe for every body.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what we believe this practice is for.

This isn’t about becoming a “perfect” instructor. It’s about becoming a real one.

What You’ll Learn + Experience
We’ll cover the what, why, and how of barre—so you’re not just learning movements, but understanding how to teach them with purpose.

You’ll learn how to:
-
Break down foundational barre movements with clarity and intention
-
Understand alignment and positioning to keep students safe and strong
-
Offer modifications and progressions for all levels
-
Cue in a way that connects, supports, and lands
-
Build thoughtful, well-paced class flows
-
Use music to create energy, rhythm, and connection
-
Incorporate props in a way that enhances the experience
-
Facilitate a class from start to finish with confidence
-
And beyond the mechanics, we’ll focus on what really makes a class come alive:
-
Creating sequences that feel accessible, effective, and inspiring
-
Curating playlists that support and elevate your class plan
-
Developing your signature style and teaching voice
-
Leading with authenticity, presence, and confidence
-
Building body awareness—for you and your students
This is about more than learning how to teach a workout.
It’s about learning how to create an experience.
