Madison Chambers
Meet Madison Chambers, a yoga and fitness instructor, competitive Olympic weightlifter, and sports psychology PhD student who believes in celebrating what our bodies can do rather than focusing on how they look. Introduced to yoga by her mother at just four years old, Madison has spent much of her life exploring the connection between movement, confidence, and emotional well-being. Teaching since 2018, she brings a powerful combination of strength, compassion, and infectious enthusiasm to every class.
Training and Approach: Madison completed her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training through Modern Yoga in Scottsdale, Arizona, and holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification. Her teaching specializes in Vinyasa flow and Sculpt, blending traditional yoga philosophy with strength-building movements and dynamic sequences.
As a researcher studying body image, Madison brings a unique perspective to fitness, emphasizing body appreciation, self-confidence, and the incredible things our bodies are capable of accomplishing.
Teaching Philosophy: Madison describes herself as her students' biggest hype woman! Her classes are encouraging, fluid, and energetic, combining fast-paced Vinyasa flows with challenging but accessible movement. She believes every body deserves to experience the joy and empowerment of movement, regardless of ability, background, or experience.
At the heart of her teaching is a commitment to helping students appreciate their bodies for what they do rather than how they appear. Madison encourages students to recognize their strength, embrace their individuality, and celebrate the effort they bring to their practice.
Personal Journey and Inspiration: Madison's yoga journey began alongside her biggest role model: her mom. As a young child, she attended kids' yoga classes while her mother practiced, eventually choosing yoga after school instead of traditional sports. Over time, she discovered that the practice offered far more than physical benefits. It helped her develop confidence in herself, her emotions, and her body.
That early experience continues to influence her teaching today, inspiring her to help others discover the same sense of empowerment and self-acceptance.
Personal Life and Interests: Outside the studio, Madison is pursuing her PhD in sports psychology while competing as an Olympic weightlifter in the 55 kg weight class. Despite her impressive strength and academic pursuits, she also has a softer, creative side and loves pottery, reading for pleasure, and enjoying tea on the porch with her best friends.
She has a special place in her heart for caring for little ones and finds tremendous joy in the time she spends with the young children in her life. For Madison, nurturing others and helping them discover their potential is as meaningful as any accomplishment in the gym.
Mindfulness Beyond the Mat: Madison enjoys beginning her mornings with movement and making time to read simply for the pleasure of it. Whether she's lifting weights, practicing yoga, creating pottery, or spending time with loved ones, she values experiences that help her feel connected, grounded, and authentically herself.
Words of Encouragement: Madison's personal mantra is "Still I rise." Her advice for anyone hesitant to try yoga or fitness is simple: "Take a chance on yourself!" She reminds students that everyone is focused on their own practice, and there's no need to worry about how you look or move compared with anyone else.
Favorite Music and Class Atmosphere: When it comes to playlists, Madison has two favorites: hip-hop and house music! Expect energizing beats, flowing movement, plenty of encouragement, and a healthy dose of challenge. Her classes are designed to leave students feeling strong, capable, and proud of what their bodies can accomplish.
